Today T-mobile is intending a new Android 2.3 update plan and all myTouch 4G users will get an Android 2.3 update on 5th August. You can take your myTouch 4G to T-mobile local store and have the manually update into your phone that can take up to 30 minutes to complete and requires more than 50% of battery life. The update process will delete all of internal data so you should back up your data, sync your contacts and list the names of application you want to re-install after update.

Unfortunately, T-mobile just updated their forums that Android 2.2 update for myTouch 3G (original) will be completed on December 15th without no reason for their customers. HTC announced that the QWERTY version of myTouch 3G,myTouch 3G Slide is one of the first phone which would be getting Android 2.2 (Froyo) update and that bring a question to myTouch 3G owners.Today i have an answer and that's a good news which everyone want to hear.From an internal screen shot leaked ; we can say that myTouch 3G owners will surely get Android 2.2 update.

For this update,your myTouch 3G will get full exchange support,a modified version of the Faves Gallery and the Genius Button app which offering the same features as myTouch 3G slide.Still no date confirmed for the Android 2.2 on myTouch 3G but this still a good news,Right ?

Froyo is a codename of Android 2.2 the next version of Android OS which Google plan to release in nearly future.Question is what Android phone will get Froyo Android 2.2 update ? A guy from Android Central get an answer from HTC for this question ;

if your phone was launched this year, we will most likely offer an upgrade for it to the Froyo version. This includes popular models like the Desire and Droid Incredible as well as hotly anticipated phones like the Evo 4G, MyTouch slide and upcoming models. We will announce a full list of phones and dates once we are closer to launching the upgrades. We are working closely with Google and our other partners to ensure we have the earliest access to everything we need to provide a complete and solid Sense experience on Froyo. We expect to release all updates in the second half of this year but can't be more specific yet.

myTouch Slide the new version of myTouch 3G will be available in next few months.But today we have a good news for myTouch 3G owners who waiting for a update.T-mobile released that they are testing a new OTA update for myTouch 3G.For this update,my Touch 3G will get Android 2.1 with the same version of HTC Sense as myTouch 3G Slide and "Genius Button" feature also included in this update too.We will see how T-mobile handle this feature without a physical "G" button on myTouch 3G.I know you can't wait for this update,Right ?
