A week ago T-mobile started Android 2.3 update for the myTouch 4G but only some myTouch 4G users got it. Today T-mobile is intending a new Android 2.3 update plan and all myTouch 4G users will get an Android 2.3 update on 5th August. You can take your myTouch 4G to T-mobile local store and have the manually update into your phone that can take up to 30 minutes to complete and requires more than 50% of battery life. The update process will delete all of internal data so you should back up your data, sync your contacts and list the names of application you want to re-install after update.
